Berlin–Leipzig Hybrid Seminar: Mathematics of Machine Learning

In this hybrid course we aim to get acquainted with some of the recent progress in the mathematical understanding and theory of machine learning.

The aim of the course is to obtain an overview of a series of recent research articles and the methods developed in them. It is directed to non-experts with a solid background in mathematics—usually master’s students, PhD students and postdoctoral researchers—who want to understand recent progress in the mathematics of machine learning.

Active contribution in the form of a presentation of a selected research paper is required for each participant. Participation details and any participant list will be shared through the confirmed course channel rather than embedded on this public website.
